The task of a waiter/waitress is to serve food & beverages, to prepare itemized checks and accept payments. Additional duties that they might perform include escorting guests to tables, serving customers seated at counters, setting up and clearing tables. Depending on the level of the waiter/waitress, he or she might also operate a cash register. Must be professional, polite and reliable.
Must be able to learn and describe the food and the menu on a professional way. They must be familiar with the menu and how the items are prepared. What they taste like and if special requests are allowed.
